Mr. President,
repeatedly you have publicly committed to promote arts education and cultural .
However, the high school reform that will come into force next September impoverishes art lessons in second grade, which will inevitably have consequences on first and final. The
graders could choose an art education until said determination from theater, music, dance, film-audiovisual arts, circus arts, art history. It was a weekly 3-hour (6 h for the circus), centered on the artistic and cultural openness.
In addition, for the circus arts, dance, film and theater, the program established a professional artist in connection with a cultural institution teamed with the teacher to lead the artistic practice.
The high school reform removes these lessons of determination. It establishes the place called exploration lessons.
The weekly schedule of courses is limited to 1.30. The program reduces the artistic practice to a bare minimum and eliminate working with artists in the classroom. It is an indisputable
impoverishment.
Moreover, the interpretation and implementation of this reform will vary from academia and from one discipline to another, leaving room for arbitrariness and injustice.
We, professors, artists, citizens, ask you, Mr. President, to intervene with the Minister of National Education and the Minister of Culture to the high school reform being amended and will be preserved ambitious artistic education from the second class, in which the artists involved
alongside teachers to introduce students to the process of creation.
